Ever since I was young, I was enthralled with media. I thought it would be the coolest job in the world to work on tv or the radio. Maybe I could go to a concert, or a sporting event, or even have someone say they heard you on the air. Well in my 15-year career, I did all that. And it was the coolest job in the world.
I’ve played music in front of thousands of people as a musician. I’ve engineered live sound for some comedians and artists who were pretty small back then and now are on your streaming platforms and television shows. I’ve worked with thousands of small businesses on their media projects. I’ve grown digital assets from nothing to thousands of subscribers. I’ve been the one to announce that a team was this year’s NCAA champion. And I’ve connected with listeners on a daily basis for nearly a decade. All of those things are dreams come true.
Having lived and worked in Champaign-Urbana for my whole life. I know all the great things about this area and I love nothing more than telling its story.
